Surgery

Tai had her surgery on August 19th. I was able to hold my tears back until they took her back for surgery, but as soon as she was out of the room, waterworks!!!! Surgery went well, however it took Tai a little longer than average to wake up from anesthesia, then following wake up she needed breathing treatments because of her low oxygen level. When we were finally allowd in the room, Tai was fighting the medication and was thrashing around. I tried to rock her but nothing seemed to help. When Rick took over he fell alseep in his arms! Daddy had the trick! But now she is doing much better, recovery went well, and she is running around and playing like a toddler should. I think my recovery from the stress was tougher than Tai's recovery from the actual surgery! All in all, my baby is doing great, and I am hoping for no more ear infections!

Tubes & Adenoids

We went to see the ENT two days ago and the specialist confirmed that Tai did need tubes but also due to her constant runny nose and getting colds all the time, she also needs her adenoids surgically removed. EEK! She is scheduled for surgery on August 19th, 2010. I am trying hard not to think about my baby going in for surgery but it is very hard. This is going to be a very long 2 weeks. Sigh!

Tubes

Yes, more news (I need to post more often). Tai has been told she officially needs tubes surgically implanted in her ears because of her all too frequent ear infections. My poor baby. So on Monday, August 2nd, we will see an ENT for the consult, then I am sure scheduleing the tubes there after. I will keep everyone posted on this.

Sister/brother?

In other news, Tai will be finding out in 10 days (August 7th) if she will have a little sister or little brother! YAY! A sibling to beat up on either way. We are so excited!

River trip!!!!

Tai will be going on her first REAL vacation (to the Comal river, next to the infamous Guadalupe river) for 3 days on August 8th! We are so excited and I have already started planning and finding things to pack! We still need to get Tai a pair of water shoes, but she already has her yellow floaty, pink swim suit, swim diapers, and onsie floaty. All she needs is some swim shoes to WALK!

Rocking chair

My Tai has started to crawl in and out of the rocking chair
that I used to use when I was a kid. Sigh. Maybe one day her
daughter will be crawling in and out of it. :)

15 month old check up

Tai had her 15 month old check up a week ago. I wanted to share her stats with everyone.

25% in height
25% in weight
90% in HEAD SIZE - - - my baby has a big brain!

15 months old

My Tai Tai turned 15 months old yesterday! I cant believe how the time has flown by (post-November that is...). Tai now has 6 teeth, 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom. She seems to be handling teething fairly well, especially since all her teeth are coming in all at once! 6 teeth in 2 months must be a record. Go Tai! Let's just hope she doesn't have mommys adult teeth! And now for the BIG news. She is taking a few steps now, if you sit just a few feet from her she will stumble to you then act all proud of herself for walking. awwwww. I cant wait until my Tai Tai is walking!

It's about time....

Our family has decided to join the new world and start up our own blog! Just to update you. We are (so far) a family of 5, Patrick (my hubby), Sheela (me), Tai (our 15 month old), Jersi (girl dog), and Crash (boy dog). We just bought our first house together in May and we love it! We are still getting used to all the new space we have. ...the wood paneling in the living room is really starting to grow on me. :) Jersi and Crash are still getting used to the disappearance of a dog door and Tai has her 15 month old appointment end of the month. Things are good for us.
